At Valley Community Church, we believe that it is our responsibility and privilege as church members to serve. As such, we have many opportunities for you to serve in a way that best fits your talents and spiritual gifts.
WORSHIP TEAM
Our Worship Team provides many opportunities to serve each week including running lights, sound, and multimedia, as well as serving on the praise team.

CHILDREN’S TEAM
We need volunteers with a heart for children to teach our nursery (birth-3 years), Wee Kids (4 years-kindergarten), and Valley Kids (1st-5th grade) on both Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. Lessons and training are provided to maintain consistency from week to week. If you aren’t comfortable teaching, we also need people to assist our teachers and help the kids pay attention.
Periodically, we also need volunteers for additional children’s events and activities, such as VBS and Fall Festival.

YOUTH TEAM
The Youth Team needs volunteers with a passion for students to help on Wednesday nights as well as with events periodically throughout the year. Below are the specific areas where you can serve:
- Audio, Lights, & Video – You will learn how to operate the media, lights, and sound, as well as how to build, edit, and display videos
- Welcome Team – You will arrive at early on Wednesday nights to greet the youth (and others) as they arrive
- Planning Team – You will work with the youth minister to plan events, fun activities, and a few fundraisers throughout the year
- Bookkeeper – You will handle POs, receipts, and maintaining the budget
- Facilitators – You will help keep the youth quiet and focused during our teaching time on Wednesday nights and help lead discussion time during our small group settings
- Teachers – You will teach the youth on Wednesday nights from provided curriculum

WOMEN’S TEAM
The Women’s Team works with the Discipleship Team to schedule discipleship opportunities. In addition, they plan activities such as fellowships and trips for our Women’s Ministry.

MISSIONS TEAM
Our Missions Team coordinates opportunities for church members to serve both locally through Loving Sipsey, including our Love INC West Clothing Ministry, and internationally through fundraisers and annual mission trips. We need people with a heart for our community and missions worldwide to help us identify and organize these opportunities.

ASSIMILATION TEAM
Our Assimilation Team covers many aspects including Greeting, Hospitality, and Growth Track. Our Greeting Team meets early each Sunday, greets members and guests as they arrive, and ensures that first-time guests know where to go. Our Hospitality Team organizes the food, set up, and clean up for our fellowships. Our Growth Track Team leads prospective members through our Growth Track New Member Class and helps them assimilate to membership in the church. We need volunteers for our Assimilation Team who are outgoing and enjoy meeting new people.

COMMUNICATIONS TEAM
We need organized marketing minds for our Communications Team. The Communications Team is responsible for sharing announcements and publicizing upcoming events both within and outside the church.

MAINTENANCE TEAM
The Maintenance Team is responsible for church security, general upkeep of the church buildings and grounds, as well as periodically organizing work days for members to help complete larger projects.
